چکیده

Understanding the heat transfer phenomenon during interior ballistics and consequently presenting a realistic model is very important to predict temperature distribution inside cannon barrel, which influences gun wear cook-off. The objective of this work present new detailed numerical for prediction thermal behaviour barrel by combining PRODAS simulation with COMSOL simulation. In study, has been proposed heating 120 mm smoothbore taking into account combustion equation JA-2 propellant. Temperature dependent thermophysical properties product gases were used calculation convective coefficient barrel. Projectile position, velocity projectile, gas volume behind projectile mass fraction have obtained software in performed multiphysics finite element modelling software. simulations show that maximum wall observed after 3 ms from fire, when value observed. results reveal burned major effect than on phenomenon.

Simulation Study Of The Short Barrel Of The Gun Manufacture

This paper deals with the use of computer simulation aiming at more efficient production of the manufacturing system. In our case, the possibilities of use are demonstrated on a particular example from industrial practice. The purpose was to build up a model of the existing short barrel of the gun manufacturing line, and, especially, to propose a solution for increase of productivity, and to fi...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Modelling of Heat Transfer

Heat transfer is essential to maintaining a thennal balance. While it is generally understood that the passive flow of heat is in a direction from high to low temperature, the active transfer of heat via blood flow plays a very important role in thermoregulation. The fonner mechanism is labelled conductive heat transfer while the latter is labelled convective and is the primary means of transfe...
